Brand New Park

This picture was taken in a new park (created in 2006) in the eastern part of the city. Most of the trees are still so small that they can barely be seen in the photo. I think this DNA-like stucture symbolizes science.

Interesting structure. Is it allowable to climb it? Is it considered a sculpture or statue? I would think it should have a fence around it to protect it from kids trying to climb it.

Actually this thing is smaller than it looks on the photo. It seems to be inconvenient to climb even for a child.

It's difficult to categorize it. Anyway I think it's a nice structure, even if it was designed only to hold the park scheme.

It looks a bit like a helter-skelter (a children's play apparatus here) but obviously it is actually meant to represent the double-helix structure.
